Hemp Girl In her Wedding dress made of Hemp

Wedding Party in Hemp clothing

When Hemp was King Wisconsin ruled with profits, power and peace, Hemp is simple to manufacture and can give our farmers a hopeful future and jobs to the many unemployed. The taxes that could be collected for Hemp production could be used to get Wisconsin and the USA back on its feet. Hemp production has been successful in our past and can make us successful in the future. Many of our own Presidents including some that wrote our constitution grew Hemp for a living during there lifetime. In fact our constitution was written on Hemp paper. How Hemp was outlawed in the first place should of never happened. This Hemp girl from a family of past Hemp growers in Wisconsin reveals the truth about the history of Hemp production in a personal way. This blog touched me to question what is really going on today to keep this plant from being used for our benefit. I am still searching for an answer.

Industrial Hemp Research Report prepared for Congress

Hemp Industries Association

HEMP FACTS
1) Hemp is among the oldest industries on the planet, going back more than 10,000 years to the beginnings of pottery. The Columbia History of the World states that the oldest relic of human industry is a bit of hemp fabric dating back to approximately 8,000 BC.

2) Presidents Washington and Jefferson both grew hemp. Americans were legally bound to grow hemp during the Colonial Era and Early Republic. The federal government subsidized hemp during the Second World War and US farmers grew about a million acres of hemp as part of that program.

3) Hemp Seed is nutritious and contains more essential fatty acids than any other source, is second only to soybeans in complete protein (but is more digestible by humans), is high in B-vitamins, and is a good source of dietary fiber. Hemp seed is not psychoactive and cannot be used as a drug. See http://TestPledge.com

4) The bark of the hemp stalk contains bast fibers which are among the Earth’s longest natural soft fibers and are also rich in cellulose; the cellulose and hemicellulose in its inner woody core are called hurds. Hemp stalk is not psychoactive. Hemp fiber is longer, stronger, more absorbent and more insulative than cotton fiber.

5) According to the Department of Energy, hemp as a biomass fuel producer requires the least specialized growing and processing procedures of all hemp products. The hydrocarbons in hemp can be processed into a wide range of biomass energy sources, from fuel pellets to liquid fuels and gas. Development of biofuels could significantly reduce our consumption of fossil fuels and nuclear power.

6) Hemp grows well without herbicides, fungicides, or pesticides. Almost half of the agricultural chemicals used on U.S. crops are applied to cotton.

7) Hemp produces more pulp per acre than timber on a sustainable basis, and can be used for every quality of paper. Hemp paper manufacturing can reduce waste-water contamination. Hemp’s low lignin content reduces the need for acids used in pulping, and it’s creamy color lends itself to environmentally friendly bleaching instead of harsh chlorine compounds. Less bleaching results in less dioxin and fewer chemical by-products.

8) Hemp fiber paper resists decomposition, and does not yellow with age when an acid-free process is used. Hemp paper more than 1,500 years old has been found. Hemp paper can also be recycled more times than wood based paper.

9) Hemp fiberboard produced by Washington State University was found to be twice as strong as wood-based fiberboard .

10) Eco-friendly hemp can replace most toxic petro-chemical products. Research is being done to use hemp in manufacturing biodegradable plastic products: plant-based cellophane, recycled plastic mixed with hemp for injection-molded products, and resins made from the oil, to name just a very few examples.

One of Teri’s favorite herbs is the Egyptian Blue Lotus Flower

It was used by ancient Egyptians as a key for good health used for Pain, Circulation and an Aphrodisiac.
For ancient Egyptians, the lotus was a solar symbol. The spread and span of its petals were the sun’s rays, the giver of light and life. With each dawn, the petals opened, closed at night and opened again with the rising sun, representing rebirth and renewal. The blue lotus (also known as the blue lily of the Nile) was considered the most sacred. It was the symbol of modesty and cleanliness. The seeds of the lotus can remain dormant in dry riverbeds for 200 years waiting for the rains, at which time the blossoms emerge from the mud radiant and unsullied. The lotus was regarded by early Egyptians as symbols of resurrection and life eternal.
The lotus in its bud form was the symbol of the upper Kingdom of Egypt. Lotus wreaths were used in funerary ritual as rebirth symbols. In temples and on tombs, the gods and royalty were depicted holding the lotus in their hands.

The secret to the rare Egyptian Blue Lily was revealed on a PBS special. The Blue Lily was traditionally used to relieve pain, increase memory, increase circulation, promote sexual desire, and create feelings of euphoria and ecstasy, without the use of narcotics. According to recent studies, Blue Lily was found to be loaded with health-giving phytosterols, bioflavonoids and phosphodiastrates. It turned out to be one of the greatest daily health tonics ever found. Traditionally, it has been used to create a feeling of well-being and euphoria.

Use it as a tea or put it in red wine. (can also be smoked or vaporized)

We all want the ones we love not to suffer and have the best care when they are ill. Do we believe in a God that gives us plants to feed us during our time on earth and healing plants to help us survive sickness?

Isis, oh Isis, my sun mother calling, remember to count the sand
I can hear the Echo of Queen Nefertiti singing across the land

My blood runs through Egypt flowing like the Nile
Royal memories lost in a ship for a long while

Princess Scota, Oh Princess Scota, destiny meets
Black hair braided moves across my cheeks

I long for God’s ocean breeze to fill my lungs with life
My European lover makes me his warrior wife

Ireland, oh Ireland, the emerald green heaven, I find peace
Where my sons fought in battle and won the golden fleece

My feet pressed solid, standing alone on new ground
Leaving my European king across the sea buried in a mound

Stones, oh stones, reveal a flower’s secret journey so far
I continue through others in the avatar

My sons take red haired fairy wives to love
And spill their seed to call the souls from above

Mummies, oh mummies, wrapped to hold my family tight
are awakened in Egypt by Ireland’s kingly rite

A necklace on my prince-son found in Ireland’s mounds of the kings
That was Tut’s gift to his nephew, the treasure hunt begins

Teri, oh Tara, so many have brought me here
I am guided by the angels their is nothing to fear

Anne Lamott Facebook

Anne Lamott writes and speaks about subjects that begin with capital letters: Alcoholism, Motherhood, Jesus. But armed with self-effacing humor – she is laugh out-loud funny – and ruthless honesty, Lamott converts her subjects into enchantment. Actually, she writes about what most of us don’t like to think about. She wrote her first novel for her father, the writer Kenneth Lamott, when he was diagnosed with brain cancer. She has said that the book was “a present to someone I loved who was going to die.” In all her novels, she writes about loss – loss of loved ones and loss of personal control. She doesn’t try to sugar-coat the sadness, frustration and disappointment, but tells her stories with honesty, compassion and a pureness of voice. As she says, “I have a lot of hope and a lot of faith and I struggle to communicate that.” Anne Lamott does communicate her faith; in her books and in person, she lifts, comforts, and inspires, all the while keeping us laughing.

Benjamin Zephaniah Facebook

Dr Benjamin Obadiah Iqbal Zephaniah was born and raised in Birmingham, England. He cannot remember a time when he was not creating poetry but this had nothing to do with school where poetry meant very little to him, in fact he had finished full time education at the age of 13. His poetry is strongly influenced by the music and poetry of Jamaica and what he calls ‘street politics’. His first real public performance was in church when he was 10 years old, by the time he was 15 he had developed a strong following in his home town of Handsworth where he had gained a reputation as a young poet who was capable of speaking on local and international issues.

He loved Handsworth, he called it the Jamaican capital of Europe but although his work had become popular within the African-Caribbean and Asian community he thought the town was too small, he was not satisfied preaching about the sufferings of Black people to Black people, so he sought a wider mainstream audience. At the age of 22 he headed south to London where his first book Pen Rhythm was published by Page One Books. This was a small, East London based publishing co-operative that were keen on publishing poets who were rooted in their communities. They published Zephaniah when others failed to tune into the new poetry that was about to emerge. The book sold well going into 3 editions but it was in performance that the Dub (Reggae) Poet would cause a revolution, a revolution that injected new life into the British poetry scene and attracted the interest of many mainstream publishers, many of whom had sent refusal letters to him only 12 months earlier.
